Ophelia – The Misfits
As a child I remember watching Nick Cave's music video for Where The Wild Roses Grow featuring Kylie Minogue, and being struck by the beautiful shots of Kylie lying motionless in the water. I loved the serene expression on her face as she calmly sang to the song. Years later while studying art history I learned of Sir John Everett Millais' painting Ophelia, which depicts William Shakespeare's Ophelia from Hamlet. In my version of Ophelia, I tried to pay homage to both Cave and Millais.

Hey man i have been following you since the imac first came out I believe thats around the time your site popped up. You have always had the best inspiring designs, and have been one of my favorite graphic designers of all time and inspired me to first start clicking around on photoshop I even think I read all of your tutorials at one point. The many layouts over the years, always the most contemporary robust, cutting edge, and at times beyond all standards for futuristic design. Just thought I would finally let you know. NVm just read about you not doing any free lance work. Well if you have any good instructional sites to recommend, I am lost without your tuts. That was back in adobe PS 7.0?
